Cuneiform tablet: Sumerian dedicatory inscription from Ekur, the temple of the god Enlil, ca. 16th–15th century B.C.

 


It's surprising that people can still read this.

    Line 2 - Oof, now we have spiders and bedbugs too - call the fumigator to the door
    Line 3 - Went to the barn to wake up the cow, proceeded to milk it
    Line 4 - Spiders still on bed, went to town to buy flock of birds that eat same
    Line 5 - Big altercation indoors, bugs gone, party time, the end.

  6. If this "writing" resembles cuneiform, there is a museum in Doylestown, Bucks County, PA, that was a home of an anthropologist who installed very ancient cuneiform tablets (tiles) in the poured concrete columns of the main room.
