And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? There is an old - old tavern in Olde City, Philadelphia that has craft paper on their long tables and they dump crab and shrimp and everyone digs in. And of course, everyone participating wears a bib.
Mud bugs Yeah ! Eaten many a pound on many a wooden table. There are still places along highway 90 where you order by the pound, tell'em whether you want taters or corn boiled with it, and tell'em how spicy. It comes out steaming and is dumped on the Kraft paper. Suck the heads, mon.
I went to recruiting school in NOLA, forty years ago and learned about Crawfish and the all the rest. When I got home, I would go to Isleton (Ca Delta) to buy big mudbugs for our crawfish boils.
Did a rotation at JRTC at Ft Polk in 1996. During the refit after the exercise, one of my troops, who was a local, called his cousin. The next day, he met him at the main gate and brought back a couple of 5 gallon plastic buckets full of crawfish for the squad. It was a revelation.
