  1. A left-handed tape measure. Just found out that they make a model for right-handers too.

    1. Belt clip on the left side means it's a right hander. Tape faces forward.

    2. This is the tape that you're looking for.

I've got more tapes than I really need, but this is one that I use the most. Daughter#2 used to work for a subsidiary of Stanley/Black&Decker and she gave me 35' FatMax. Good stand-off, but it's big and heavy...clunky....and I hardly ever need that much length. My 16' Milwaukee is my second favorite. It locks on extension and I just like that feature. I also impulse-bought a little 6' Milwaukee that slips into the pocket nicely.

But that Lefty-Righty is still the best. Pull left and it reads as easily as pulling right. On board pencil sharpener. But best feature is the write-on face. I can't tell you how many times that I've measured something then forgotten the measurement by the time I got to the saw. That write-on face solves that problem. I'm surprised that one of the big names hasn't gobbled them up.

  2. I once spent money on a good tape, I almost cried when I ran over it. I replaced by spending the same money on (much) cheaper 25' tape measures.. like 10 of them in bright orange so that are easier to find.
They do the job and there is always one there!
