And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I fix gym equipment for a living, avoid buying these cheap units. One thing, just one little thing, breaks, and you just have to buy a new one, there is no repairing these. They don't last long, ask around, don't believe me. Buy a Sports Art, Life Fitness, or Matrix. A LOT of gym equipment companies have went out of business, there's a reason, and it's because there are SO MANY competing, that they all have to cut corners on the quality of the components, that the cheapest parts break, but, those are part of the lower control board, or display, and those cost a couple thousand to replace. So, get the best you can afford, get a name brand. The easy test, is see if you can replace the running belt.
So he did! Usually these "This is shit...I'm an expert" posters are just showing off for the internet, but although I still don't believe he works on them, at least there are alternatives listed. Credit for that.
thanks. I got nothing specific about this unit, just letting you all know what I can, in hopes it helps someone avoid a headache. Nothing good comes cheap, nothing cheap is good.
lol, still don't believe I work on them? They draw about 1.6 amps when moving the belt at 3 mph, and 5 amps with a person walking on them. Not sure what else would convince you that I work on them... the two cotter pins holding the incline screw nylon sleeve to the lift rack? directions on how to tighten the belt, or how to test if it's tight enough? Directions on how to align the belt if it drifts to the right or left?
Life Fitness, Matrix, Sports Art, Precor... there are quite a few decent brands out there, but nothing cheap. Get one used. Seriously, lots of people realize they just aren't ever going to use the equipment, and get rid of it on facebook, craigslist, ebay... or estate sales. Hell, ask any gym equipment company what the recommend for what you can afford

DeleteThanks, but I already have a closet in which I hang my clothes
ReplyDeleteI'm actually in the market for a new treadmill. I mostly walk - mixed in with jogging - 2 miles a day. What brand should I be looking at?
