And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Gorgeous! I'm always amazed at the thought and design that went into every line, every curve; and then the work that went into creating them. Todays creations have no soul and all look like they were created by bean-counters.
Unclezip, I was wondering where the oil leak was too. LOL Had a friend back in the 70's with a Trident hardtail. Nice scoot but he always carried oil with him. Kind of scary when the ass end started going sideways. That was back in the days of 750's and Z1s. What a time to be alive! And the music!
I had a 71 HD Sportster. The HD dealer sold 90 weight motor oil. Only sold it by the case. They also sold a HD embossed oil drip pan. I think it was an official HD accessory.
Instead of extra heavy oil and drip pans, why not just fix the #&$^% leaks?
Have a 77 sportster and have several others, plus other brands. If you can't or are too lazy to do proper maintenance-BIG reveal- they all can leak oil. If you can't deal with that you need to buy a bicycle and learn to enjoy sweating. Bubbarust
That's a beautiful bike. Not many like that left I'm sure.

Too bad they didn't put as much thought into gaskets..
DeleteLovely machine. A lot of motorcycles look like plastic origami to me lately...
ReplyDeleteGreat fuel tank detail.
