And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
The prettiest Bomber...EVAH! And The Bone could surely bring the dam dam down on Bad Guys. Army Artillery meownself, but older brother was a Wing Wiper in SAC for nearly 30 years, working on everything the USAF had until Reagan reactivated the B1 Program to bring back the Bone as depicted, brother spending 15+ years with that aircraft system. Was fortunate to see The Bone up close and personal several times doing "touch and goes", and bombing runs. As graceful as Ginger Rogers, as beautiful as any Classical Hollywood '50s Starlet, and as deadly as The Wrath of God. Too bad there's only about half of them left...we may need them...soon.
Thanks, cw...lubs me some Aerial Artillery Platforms!
I was in the interview process for a pilot slot in the GA Air Guard when it was announced they were loosing the B1B's and getting the JSTAR while loosing 25% of their flight positions.
Was at Squadron Officer School back in the 90s. They always did the National Anthem prior to sports competition each Friday. There was always a flyby at the end. I can remember feeling the rumble before the sound even got there and thinking “this one’s going to hurt”. It was a B-1 in full afterburner. Loudest thing I’d heard to that point, which said a lot as I was flying the big engined (-229) Strike Eagle at the time.
They look like something out of the Terminator movies.
