It is fun, and there are indoor skydiving locations all over the place in the US, and not just close to airports.
Non-pros wear baggy coveralls making it easier to fly. I've done it a couple of times and had a good time. You have an instructor with you to teach you how to control your flight, the first thing to learn is how to stay still in the air flow and not drift off to a wall.
What you don't see is the throttle operator who controls the fan speed allowing her to fly high up the venturi then come back down.
I'm kind-a-fat. Probably need a bigger fan for me.
