The Seasickness Cruise

  1. really never wanted to go on a cruise myself. kind of like being in prison with a chance of drowning. besides, my dad was in the navy and the stories he told us about storms at sea, no thanks. as he called "the fucking navy" any time he was asked about the navy. BTW, the man had a navy cross and 14 battle stars and a bunch of other medals from his time in WW2 and Korea.
we found that bit out when he was buried . but he did hate the navy !
changed his last name a bit and dodged the army. what to know why ?
he didn't want to wear a tie. no shit. he hated ties.

    1. I can understand the feeling about ties...

  2. Cruise ships = plague ships. everyone I know who has been on a cruise has been sick afterwards.

  3. The skipper has her pointed wrong and is likely does not have a sea anchor or drougue in the water.

  4. I was on a cruise once in Asia. I was fine afterwards but wouldn't do it again.. just dull. And vessels that size don't use sea anchors or drogues.. that's only for small ships.. usually sailboats. They are built with stabilizers.. which this tub obviously wasn't using.

  5. Cruise ships today are not suited for heavy weather, with satellite tracking they are supposed to play 'keep-away' with heavy weather.

  6. The past four years of Biden/Harris felt exactly like this to me.
