No real connection. Skoda and Tatra are two different companies. In fact Czechs had like a dozen companies that used to made cars/trucks etc. Supposedly it was one of the most industrialized countries in Europe before WW2.
I know it's sacrilege to some, and sometimes me, but a decent unrestored version of this would make a terrific body concept for a hot rod. Imagine it just slightly chopped, widened. Love those front suicide doors.
