My DeWalt sander has been going strong for years. I keep expecting it to die, but it won't, at least so far.

  1. I have one of these and primarily use it with finer grit discs for finishing. Works well.

  2. I've had one for years. Although I have had to replace the head a couple of times. My own fault; I started using the cubitron style sandpaper. The nubs on the head poke through the paper and get worn off.
But, it is worth it. That cubitron paper is actually cheaper in the long run. It lasts way longer than the big box store paper stuff.

  3. Mine pissed me off. The power switch needed a secret handshake within months and the pad rotted out within two years.

  4. I have both the corded and battery versions and confess I now use the battery version almost exclusively. They both are tough and have survived being dropped from about ten feet (sanding a pergola) many times. EdC

  5. I have one - I think it was a bonus tool with my chop saw. It works well, but I don't abuse it either.

  6. I've owned two of them , a variable speed one which the speed control fried on and a standard single speed one. Both of them , the cords exterior cover cracked and fell off...have replaced the pad multiple times...but they both still run after twenty years of much use.
