Local Color. Or, as my dad used to call it, Angel's Cramp.

  1. Ah yes. Angel's Cramp. Right down the road from Carson Hill, home of the 195 pound Carson Nugget, the largest mass of gold ever found in the United States.
When I worked in Vallecito in the early '70s they had a mock rock about the same size as the Carson Nugget at the monument along Hiway 49. It was just a rock painted with gold Krylon spray paint, but naturally it was just too tempting to last. It's probably still in some Bozo's living room so he and his buddies can admire it while they get high and rock out to Grateful Dead tunes.

  2. As a professional sign maker for over 45 years. This storefront attempt of letteringi signage is the reason some localities have sign ordinances.
