  1. AMC Marlin, 1966 maybe? A friend of my late brother had one. As a little kid, I always thought they were cool.

  2. AMC had some crazy models. Mom and Dad had the fishbowl on wheels The AMC Pacer. 'Member the old TV spot "Glass, glass lotsa glass."

    2. I had a 69 Javelin in my youth. 343 with a 4 speed manual trans, fun car to drive.

    3. At 3 yrs old our amx was so rusty you could put your hand through the fender.
      N. Central Iowa salt combined with shifty steel.

  3. There's a beige one up the road that was recently pulled out of an old warehouse or beside it and it's in worse condition than you'd expect it to be.
    TBH, I'd completely forgotten about the Marlin....

  7. I had forgotten about the Marlin. I had a buddy in high school that had a 8 year old 70 Javelin with the small V8. It was the lower trim level base car. He rebuilt the engine our senior year in the Shop class.

    1. He got the car when we were Juniors, class of 79. He drove it 8 or 9 months before the engine was rebuilt. Up until that time the nickname for the car was Old Smokey.
