Anybody recognize what that is on the ground below?

  1. Joint Base San Antonio, but back when this AT-9 was doing a wing-over it was Randolph Field near Universal City, TX. For a long time it went as Randolph Air Force Base and became the joint thing about 15 years back.

  3. Fort Knox, I think. The plane is a North American BT-9 (Yale in RCAF service) so the pic was taken between '36 and '42.

  5. Yes, Randolph Field, later Randolph AFB, lately JBSA-Randolph, “Show Place of the Air Force.” The AFB version was last base before I retired.
