And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Virtual Ancient Rome in 3D - Baths of Caracalla. We've forgotten how to build really fine structures, it seems. Plus, did the Romans know about chlorine?
The Romans had no chlorine. This highly reactive element requires sophisticated chemistry for its production. It was not isolated until 1774 by Scheele.
Large opulent rooms with seemingly no purpose. Just think, if you owned all of the money and all of the slaves you too could have a building like that!
