And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Someone's been into the alcohol stash.
And did Boeing engineer those overheads to support the weight of a full grown human? I think not.
How much does a plane load of carry on luggage weigh? Will the overhead be able to carry that? Have you ever seen how some struggle to get their carry on's in the overhead. This Flight Attendant is a feather by comparison.
Those racks are pretty strongly engineered, otherwise a hard landing could bring all that overhead luggage down on people's heads and thoroughly screw up any evacuation that might be needed.
