And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

That looks a bit worrisome. It is about ten times larger than it was Sunday, and no more controlled.
We saw some of the same here in So lake Tahoe yesterday afternoon. A price we pay sometimes for Mountain living. Good luck and Blessings to those affected......
I live in the Georgetown area..... This fire went from 27,000 acres to 79,000 acres and burned about 10 miles in one day. (yesterday) This is just awful :(
I think that Cal Fire has been overwhelmed by the intensity of this fire. The area burned yesterday was enormous. The fire got into the Rubicon River canyon and burned all the way to Hell Hole in an afternoon. This fire has burned some beautiful country that I have been exploring for the 24 years that I have lived here. This is a catastrophe......

DeleteOnce the fire starts "generating its own wind", it's very difficult to get a handle on. Unless God sends a lot of rain. Then it's not so tough.

DeleteI just read at Cal Fire that they have arrested a person for arson in the cause of this fire......
DeleteThis blaze will destroy a lot more acreage before it burns itself out.
