And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

West Point speeches compared

Bush addresses the cadets. Note the lack of a teleprompter.
Obama addresses the cadets. Teleprompters to the right and left.
The reaction was a bit less enthusiastic than for Bush. Wonder why?
How would Barack know what his handlers wanted him to say without a teleprompter? If they had a sack, they would have put an empty chair on stage and played a recorded speech...
That's so accurate. It says a lot about the supposed genius that he can't even handle a simple speech without the words put right in front of his face.
