What about peak oil again? 

The Norwegians have discovered a second massive oil deposit, this time in the Barents Sea.

I guess we will get to drive our SUV's for a few more years.  Really this is good news for the developing world.  Once oil really does become scarce, it will be a bidding war for the remaining resource, and those with the ability to pay will get it.  That means that unless there is an alternative energy source easily available, the less affluent nations will be out of luck, which means a much lower chance of developing a better economy.
