    1. Hs! Could be. It sure is a weirdly drawn rifle. Muzzles at both ends, really skinny barrel, no bands, no buttstock, but two trigger guards and one frizzen. Artist is clueless.

  2. I can't believe that crazy amount of trash that soldiers carry on their bodies.

    2. John-
That "trash" all gas a purpose.
I'm not sure which you were talking about, or both.

  4. I assure you, the Revolutionary Soldiers were NOT equipped as shown. Or fed. Or housed. They were lucky to have shoes occasionally. Going days without eating. Having to steal anything edible to survive. Yet, the vast majority of them were dedicated to the destruction of the english, as they were a hateful bunch.
We should thank God for them, daily.

    1. How are you going to "assure" that?

    2. History books are an excellent start to assure that.

  5. Anon might very well have a Doctorate in American History. I don't but I am a dedicated blackpowder shooter and I can't figure out what kind of weapon(?) he's dragging along the ground. Those boots look more like 20th century than 18th. So
my guess is AI? How about a few re-enactors chiming in?

    1. Dudes, do you really, really think this picture is meant to be historically all that accurate? Or do you get off pretending to find "errors" in random images. Cool yourselves off by jumping in a lake, and leave us alone

    2. To Anon at 6:18...Jesus, Mary and Joseph!.....you probably did not expect this response, but I sure do miss jumping into a cold lake at this time of year. The first swim we had at our cottage was at about the Summer Solstice. The ice only came off in mid-April....and lake trout season soon after. Steve_in_Ottawa

  6. Anon618, what's with the "us"? Do you often assume knowledge you don't have?
Usually, pictures used for comparison are meant to be accurate - otherwise no point whatsoever.
