And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Government distorts the market, again, and costs everyone millions, again, for some cheap, useless virtue signaling.
Yes. Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) regulation. Dumbest thing ever. It's like Congress pretended free markets don't exist. There were many more sensible ways to skin that cat.
Anonymous has it correct. Obama era regulations that emissions were averaged over the entire fleet. Trucks however were exempted, which is why American sales skew artificially towards large SUVs
And I thought the Audi TT concept was hideous. Wow...dash interior from some 80's GM piece of crap and exterior by some Chinese design team that have never seen a car before.
In the '70s and '80s Mercedes sold diesels in the USA, but not in Europe, not because of customer demand but to comply with the Corporate Average Fuel Economy law. For every 450SEL or 560SEL sold they had to sell a 300D or 300SD. GM had the same problem, for every Cadillac sold they had to sell a Chevette or two. Al_in_Ottawa
Ferrari’s 4 door models never were received well, as I recall. Not a big fan of this particular styling, but I bet it’d out-accelerate any street ice-equipped model.
The US government has done the same thing here (slightly differentbut same outcome). Bash our federal government too.

ReplyDeleteGiven the styling, price point, etc., it's almost as if Ferrari doesn't want to sell the Luce!
