  4. My time was the summer of '71. I think the plain burgers were 19cents and cheese burgers 29 c. I vaguely remember "big Mac, fries and a coke for $1" being a TV ad.

  8. I'm pretty sure this is the Des Plaines Illinois McDonald's, McDonald's kept it as a museum/show case until it was torn down several years ago because of flooding in the area. (I felt this was B.S.) 55+ years ago I used to cut class at Maine East H.S. in Park Ridge and we would go to this McDonald's. Every time I see that photo it's like a Time Machine....

      Kinda cute, but the joint was really small, compared to todays McD's
