  3. With that tray of food, why would anyone be drinking Lone Star Light?
Why would anyone be drinking Lone Star in the first place?

    2. GS, maybe you have but didn't know it. Sold to Pabst in 99 and made under contract by Anheuser-Busch in their Houston location. The other older beer (which was much better IMHO) was Pearl, also now owned by Pabst but made under contract by Miller in Ft. Worth. Neither made to the original recipe. The only Texas locally owned is Shiner with Shiner Bock my favorite. Much better with that platter of heaven. That is enough food for two people for lunch and dinner.

    3. Well there ya go! It just so happens, yesterday I bought a 12 pk of 16oz Pabst cans but have not yet put them in the fridge, but I will do so right now. Thanks for the reminder. Oh yeah, they made Milwaukee Famous!

    4. Pabst doesn't even brew their own name-brand beer. They closed their own brewery over two decades ago and has contracted it to Miller.

    2. XX for the win nowadays for me, but I remember A LOT of Lone Star in my 20s back in the 80s.
Father of my buddy had a small piece of horse property and anold refrigerator on the back porch. Lone Star only. Bottles.
Rule was that we could drink from it whenever we wanted, but we had to leave more than we drank. Many memories of delivering 2 or 3 cases on a Saturday and spending all afternoon and evening drinking and bullshitting with them on their back porch. Fond memories.

Sidenote: Do NOT feed a 6-pack of beer to an hornery horse. He proceeded to kick down his stall when we wouldn't give him more.
Buddys father was NOT amused the next morning. ;)
