What is reality for her? What is reality for us?
Wild.
And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

ReplyDeleteThe best episode, in my humble opinion
DeleteI can still hear that flute.
DeleteAgreed. Best episode.
DeleteThe mind is still mostly a mystery to us. We understand it physically and physiologically but we know almost nothing about it functionally.
ReplyDeleteDoes the mind ever sleep? 6 heart operations, every one of them I dreamed. Some of us 'troubleshoot' problems while asleep, solving mechanical, electrical, HVAC, construction issues - awaken to implement what was dreamed. The mind doesn't ever sleep.
ReplyDelete"What is reality" is a loaded question if I ever heard one. Man, going down some rabbit holes on that stuff, don't even know anymore, to be honest. Apparently we're all just living in one giant game of GTA. That is literally the dominant theory about life and reality at this point.
ReplyDeleteTapped into a past life…
ReplyDeleteAs a child I couldn't even draw stick figures or color within the lines.
ReplyDeleteAs an adult, I've won esteemed awards and had exhibits in fine art galleries and museums. You figure the brain out. I'll wait.
Lesson: Don't do drugs!
ReplyDeleteMore… not less…
DeleteThink back about everything that has happened to you over the past 7 years, and everything you did during that time period.
ReplyDeleteThen, imagine "waking up" this morning and finding out none of it was real.
Yeah. Not a loony chick. Don't have to worry about it.
DeleteMost dreams fade because they are not backed up by process of long term memory, current research believes that to 'remember' a dream you must wake up long enough to 'fix it' in long term memory. A vivid dream that wakes you up can be fixed in your memories. Hopefully, this womans painful dream memories will fade.
ReplyDeleteNow, the suggestion of memories of a 'past life' are interesting, but how would you prove it?
Sounds like a Bob Newhart TV show.
ReplyDeleteYes! "...buy more sweaters."

ReplyDeletePossibly a past life... or was she being shown a blueprint for the life she could have if she stopped with the nose candy ?
When you know that your time is close at hand
ReplyDeleteMaybe then you'll begin to understand
Life down here is just a strange illusion...
Mentally ill to begin with, then dreams. And now with media attention, embellishing them.
ReplyDeleteI read the story of how Paul McCartney dreamed the melody of the song Yesterday. He woke up and got it sorted on guitar, but had no lyrics so he sang Scrambled Eggs. Obviously, he worked out great lyrics by and by.
ReplyDeleteThe whole story came from her imagination or she faked it to get attention. We'll never know.
ReplyDeleteThere is at least one if not more Hallmark or Great American Family movies with a very similar plot. Wonder if she had seen one and was just replaying it with her as the main character?
