And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I have been thinking that we are heading for a medieval period. Superstition promulgated by bombardment of intentionally false and misleading information coupled with the education system dumbing down.
That is if the hot revolution doesn't kick off first.
LTG Mike Flynn (Ret) has been warning about the huge amount of false information flooding our society. In war and intelligence reporting, he says, first reports are always wrong. Now add AI and the flood increases and the job of discerning truth becomes more difficult.
(yes, AI is a tool. But it is GIGO supercharged. Made too easy to create complete fasehood that sounds legit.)
One thing remains unchanged; it is to those who know to share with all others. However, those who choose willful ignorance, who choose to not believe, or not to discern fact from fiction, grow larger in number. My opinion on the matter is to shake the dust from my sandals if they care not. That is, tell 'em once, maybe twice, but do not harp on them.
Eventually no one will discern what is actual history and place…vs AI foolery.
