  1. This is the way I go to my front door whenever I'm not expecting company and the doorbell rings. Cocked and locked, thumb on the safety.

    1. I forgot to tell my wife that I had some counter tops being delivered to our house for a job. They were supposed to call me first but didn't. I apologized for my wife pulling a gun on them. He said she didn't
I said she actually did but hid it well.

  2. I live at 8 and Plumb. 8 miles out of the city, plumb back in the woods! Middle of 56 wooded acres. You better believe I answer my door that way.

    1. Stopped carrying a Colt Commander in 1991, switched to Glock 19, no regerts. My current Tisas, bobtail, Carry (commander) is the most accurate, reliable 1911 I've ever had. I've had more than a dozen.
Pictured, looks like a real business, 1911.

    2. Hate Glocks but that Tisas is made in Knoxville, TN and is a great gun. I can't decide between it and the Canik. I like them both for the price. But I did grow up in Knoxville

    3. never saw a Tisas for sale around here. and online they where always sold out. did pick up a Rock island made 1911 after doing a side by side with a
few Kimber models. yeah, the rock fit better, finish was okay too held up better than I thought it would too. and can give my old gold cup a run for the money at the range too.

  4. 45 still suits me fine. Quick into action, gentle shove for recoil. I like mine showing some use.

  5. To each his own and I understand why they are so popular but just never have they been my cup of tea.

    2. I believe the port has been lowered, and that the machinist used a smaller-diameter end-mill than is commonly used. Lowering is intended to insure reliable ejection.

their hi power clones look great. like to find a alloy frame short barrel one
as my full size Hi power tends to drag at my old bones by the end of the day.
