And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
One black bear near by, regularly climbs this one big poplar near my veggie garden, checking to see whats ripe he can plunder. After the second rapine and plunder of my corn crop, took to shooing him off with some little tiny lead beads of persuasion. I think he had an instinctual fear of little angry bee's flying very close by him, cause he was no longer a pillager. Though he gets most of the wild black berries.
