And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
The best cowdog I ever had was a Border Collie/Kelpie cross. She came from a breeder who explained that her sire jumped a fence to sew his wild oats. I never did learn which breed the sire was. I always figured it was the Kelpie.
My cousin got her bother. He figured their quirkiness was because they were born under a power line.
Four of her litter mates ended up on a ranch in Wyoming. I can only imagine what a handful four of them were like. One was enough for me.
My advice is 'never get a dog that's smarter than you are'.
The work begins, no desk, no boss just out on the range where real work is done.
