  1. I'm betting more fish have been caught on Zebco 202's than any other reel ever made. Growing up, everyone started out on these.

    1. Yup! Still got my 202 & 808. Use the 808 with 6lb test, on a wrist rocket to launch lines over trees, to pull up HAM radio antennas! +50yrs old, still working great!

  2. My first rig at about 8 yo was a 202.
Caught hundreds of breams, bluegills, and crappies.

  4. we used them for carp at the pay lakes. the reels lasted fairly well but the big fish would wear them out after awhile.

  5. Riding my bike to Lake Chabot on a Saturday morning, Zebco rod and reel with mini marshmallows and salmon egg bait. (I's only been 50 years...)

  6. No matter how many reels I try- I still prefer my Zeb! Simple, timeless.

  8. I don't fish but I've always admired the craftsmanship that goes into these little machines.

  9. Johnson Century for my brothers and I. I wore mine and theirs out. I still have the little wooden sheathed knife with the measuring marks, as if length made any difference, that came in the little tackle box that came with it. Damn I had some fun. 67 now so it’s been a minute.
