And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Built like a tank. I wore one for several years and finally traded it. Every month, I’d have to add 4 to 6 minutes to it. That was a ‘self-winding’ Explorer II and I wore it while playing golf every day. Great looking, but not the most accurate watch.
Today, I’m sporting a Citizen Eco Drive or similar design. It’s a titanium body and weighs a fraction of the Rolex. It also syncs up with the atomic clock in CO every night, so it’s accurate to a fraction of a second……..all for under a grand.
Congrats on the Citizen. It's cool to hear it syncs with an atomic clock every night - technology! That Rolex is a Daytona with what looks to me like a meteorite dial. The person who wears that isn't much interested in the time as the message possession of that beast sends to everyone. Same reason people drive BMW's when a Kia will get them where they need to go just as well.
I got an Eco Citizen when I retired 13 years ago. Fantastic watch. Hint - don't hide it in a drawer, as the supercap powering it takes forever to recharge.
Oddly enough, "Atomic Clock sync" is old technology. After my heart attack I got a new watch with heart rate and GPS for my bike rides. The GPS syncs to the satellites for nano second time. The only thing I don't like about it is that if you don't pair it with a smartphone you can't get full usage of it's functions. And I don't have or want a smartphone.
