  2. Back when I was a kid it took me a few years of seeing Alan Hale, and Alan Hale, Jr., in reruns across the years to figure out they were two different people - they looked that much alike.

    2. $750 per episode. No royalties or syndication residuals, though there's an urban legend that Dawn Wells got them. Jim Backus got a higher pay rate because he was well-established. Sherwood Schwartz was the only one to get rich.

    3. They were all hopelessly typecast afterwards, and their careers effectively ended, but Schwartz died a rich, rich man.
