And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I would worry about slipping off a rung and breaking something. FWIW - I spent 11 weeks sleeping in a CRV. I constructed a 6' bed in the back using a couple of plastic totes, some plywood and a 5" furniture cushion. I stayed dry and warm over the winter while hiking 1200 miles of the Appalachian Trail. I'm 5' 10". I still use the bed when I volunteer for disaster response orgs.
Every time I see one of these adventures, I am reminded of Parris Island, hiking twenty miles, then camping out with a few hundred guys I don't know well, after dining on WWII era C rations with no girls and even less beer. Thank heaven for civilization.
long walk back the next morning (dead battery)
ReplyDeleteIs there a brand name for these kinds of setups? I would like to view some things on the internet about them (maybe watch a YouTube video, etc.).
ReplyDeleteGo to Amazon and search for “extra large rooftop tents.” Several models to choose from. They ain’t cheap, 1K plus.
