And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

It won't be stealthy with the bay open, of course. That's why the bay doors open and close quickly. With the doors closed? Quite stealthy enough. Only one ever shot down, and there were multiple confounding factors that day.
If you're directly under the bays, they have life-sized photo-realistic paintings of Chuck Norris, looking like he's holding the sides and ready to drop on you.
Military units of foreign countries have surrendered to F-117s with no weapons abord after seeing that.
Still looks like an alien spacecraft.
