And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
From what I've read she considered herself "above" doing television since she'd been in many movies. Of course, so had Andy Griffith and Ronnie Howard.

She died a recluse in a run-down home with 14 cats.
It definitely sounds like she was not a happy person.

ReplyDeleteShe died as a hermit in Siler City, NC. Went to the grocery store once a week. Other than that, total recluse. And not a pleasant person, per locals.
