  2. You can move a lot of wood with one of those.

    I have 4 like that and have burnt up the edges on them all in a day, making a HUGE pile of chips.

    Or one can split a LOT of firewood in a day.

    If not a perfect design, pretty close.

  3. And due to low IQ on the production line, or delilberate f**kery by the honchos, only about 1 in 10 will have the handle grain properly aligned to last more than about a season of heavy use.
    Almost like the idiots in charge deliberately sabotage a timeless product so you'll have to buy another one 10X as frequently.
    Doing it right isn't rocket science, but picking out a keeper at the hardware store is like looking for good 2x4s at Homeless Depot.
    Buying one online is like playing Russian Roulette with a magazine-loaded automatic.
