And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
LLOOONNGG flights! and they didn't fly themselves as much as today ... 7 days to get to Manila - and Wikipedia says the first flight took off and went under the SF-Oakland Bay Bridge since the pilot realized he wouldn't clear the structure - that must have been a sight!!
I'm sad that era is gone. Then again, I also like to put my feet up in the first class cabin of a 787 Dreamliner and get there in a fraction of the time. Sometimes nostalgia is over rated. Other times it's not.
