And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
That cracks me up as well...Had a 'basic 54 Porsche 1600cc w/dual carbs in 1969. It was basically a VW with a few more bolts holding the case together but a semi sleaky body. Got it to about what Stuzt averaged and pert near shat myself. Two years later totaled the Porsche bought a VW '59 microbus w/o engine and easy as pie bolted that engine jn and away I went...you all probably know what happened next.
Forget what it's worth...can you imagine doing 100+ mph in that beast?!?!

ReplyDeleteOk, I've been (briefly) to 120 in a modern convertible and it scared the heck out of me. Can't imagine two hours in that. Big ones there.
