And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I was watching a short on these folks who freeze dry, they were doing eggs from their chickens. A freeze dryer machine does cost more than jars & pressure cooker/canner but having freeze dried beef stew rather than jars is not a bad thing I'd think, stores well, keeps well, a little more effort to get it ready to eat but the freeze dry would take up so much less space.
Good book to keep in the library ive had it for years. There are a few very good canning recipes in it.
