  1. Good book to keep in the library ive had it for years. There are a few very good canning recipes in it.

  2. I was watching a short on these folks who freeze dry, they were doing eggs from their chickens.
    A freeze dryer machine does cost more than jars & pressure cooker/canner but having freeze dried beef stew rather than jars is not a bad thing I'd think, stores well, keeps well, a little more effort to get it ready to eat but the freeze dry would take up so much less space.
