The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? As I understand it, Underwood supplied the chiles to Huy Fong - makers of Rooster Juice Sriracha - until some kind of contract dispute. Glad they're making their own stuff.
I knew about the problem Huy Fong had in making product a while back, and it turns out it was about the same time Underwood started making their own. I think I also read Huy Fong is now making theirs with peppers from Mexico.
When the Sriracha folks moved out of the San Gabriel valley to the City of Industry, their new neighbors complained bitterly about the industrial atmospherics.
