The sixteen year old has had lots of fun growing a summer beard, but tomorrow he has to go back to school, and they don't allow facial hair, so it's coming off today, or maybe tomorrow morning.

It's been fun, no doubt, living as a feral creature for the last few months, reveling in hairiness, but that time is over.

Say goodbye to the freedom of summer, and say hello to the conformity of living in a rule bound and judgemental society.

Unless you want to be a viking or a hermit, that's going to be the story of the next 35 years or so, kid, so get used to it.
