And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
my second pc in early 90's was a PB with dot matrix printer, replaced a Tandy TX1000, used it into early 2000's (my daughter was using it on the morning of 9/11, home school, saw the first tower come down...)
1986, The age of dial-up BBS. was running a multi-line system on 8mHz Epson QX-10s., software I had to write from scratch... coded everything but the operating system, CPM. Still have the source code, it screams on these gHz machines like a scalded dog!
My first introduction to computers was a $1600 PB with 75 mhz Pentium Processor, 850 MB hard drive, 8 mb RAM and a 13 in monitor. They said you could make money with Windows 95. Nope, never did.
is Acer computer now, manufactured with Chinese components

DeleteWhen I were a lad, you couldn't just go to the store and buy a computer.
ReplyDeleteWe had to make our own computer with twigs and dirt.
