And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Finding that resting spot during a long, long flight
Every time a land bird lands on the boat miles out at sea I feel bad for the bird. Either he'll lose his appetite or vomit from the constant motion, or he'll fly off, but return. Sometimes they fly off to not be seen again. Low probability of survival.
Strong winds blow them offshore. I have seen Sparrows fifty or more miles off.shore. Flying insects too, but I care not for the bugs.
Back in another lifetime I was on a WestPac which is a deployment to sea. We had a sea bird, Albatross maybe? That thing hung out on the mast of the ship for about 30 days. The dang bird would wait for the flying fish to come out of the water then swoop down on them for a meal. 30 mins later or so it was back on the perch. I know the Sailors were getting tired of cleaning up under the bird when it finally decided to move on.
Got snacks?
