  1. There I was, drivin’ down the road like always when a girl passin’ me flashed me and I lost focus for a bit. Sudden the truck bed popped up and hit that sign right there like you see. It was pandelerium.

  2. Know exactly where that exit is, taken it many times... so, how did that truck get that far, without hitting a previous overhead sign...? Plus, how can you keep the bloody truck on the road, on the curve before that, without the darn thing tipping over??? It had to have felt more than a little bit 'off'.

  5. Oh no! The huge load of fiscal debt our government wants just got spilled out all over the highway!

  8. I've seen this kind of accident twice in the last 50 years. Dump truck going down the highway, no load, the tilt bed slowly starts raising up and the driver is oblivious till he hits an overpass. All the folks flashing high beams had no effect.
My thought was that the hydraulic valve was not shut hard to close and the vibration or the pump turned back on.
That was one case, the other, which to this day I cannot comprehend, is the truck departed the dump site and the driver did not lower the bed, just charged off down the road and ripped a number of power and other cabling that crossed the street he was on. Oh, yes those two were in the U.S.. third world things are considerably worse but no one really cares.
