  2. I had no problem with the crazy seas. The higher and rougher the better for me while others were puking.... but those LOOONG 10ft swells???? Devastating on my tummy!!!

  5. That takes me back to my days serving aboard the USS Park County, LST 1077, back in the 60's. The flat bottom hull of LSTs makes for one heck of a ride in foul weather! I was fortunate to never get seasick, no matter the weather, Some of my shipmates on that ship weren't as lucky!

  6. I went on a scuba diving trip off of Cape Hatteras, and the boat was tossed around like crazy, and I puked my guts out over the side. The one and only time I got seasick.

  7. I think he's crossing a river bar hence the dirty water. Greymouth and Westport in New Zealand are two tough places where you learn to read water.

  10. He's foundering is what he's doing, better back off the broadsides if he wants to remain hull side down!

  11. Must be in shallow water with all that silt. I remember going into Beaufort, NC on a day like that. Actually surfing a 108' yacht into the entrance. Captain and I looking up at waves behind us. Never wanted to do that again.
