And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Longboards! They have longboard races ever year at Johnsville, CA. The tradition started when miners from La Porte would trek over the summit of the Sierra to compete with their brethren miners from the Johnsville side of the mountain.
Nowadays it's just a big party with some folks really serious about the races. But everyone has a great time.

The Wyeth family hails from south of Philadelphia. They have a museum there. I have always liked most of Andrew's work.
