  1. Longboards! They have longboard races ever year at Johnsville, CA. The tradition started when miners from La Porte would trek over the summit of the Sierra to compete with their brethren miners from the Johnsville side of the mountain.

    Nowadays it's just a big party with some folks really serious about the races. But everyone has a great time.

  2. The Wyeth family hails from south of Philadelphia. They have a museum there. I have always liked most of Andrew's work.
