And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
My Mom cried at my 21st birthday. I asked, why are you crying? She said I didn't think you would make it to 21. She didn't realize it would get worse. I pushed life to the limits as each year went by until my first daughter was born when I was 27. I could write a book and I wouldn't change a thing. I am sending this to all my brothers and my sister because they are all surprised I'm still here.
