And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? New-to-me brand. British and a good example of how national personality was once reflected in engineering - that was before homogenization deflated any spark of personality out of manufacturing. Armstrong, Rega, and Connoisseur are other examples of Britain's audio equipment from the past; Rega remains active but I'm uncertain of the others.
Now all we have is cheap Chinese boom boxes the size of a can of beans, with audio quality that is frankly terrible, and the young, who have grown up with this crap, have no idea what good audio actually sounds like.
