  4. The beach is a lifeless desert. The underwater seabed is a lifeless desert. The water is a lifeless desert. No flora, no fauna. That means it's an island in the middle of the bluewater ocean, where there aren't any ocean currents carrying life and nutrients from elsewhere. Where there are one or more missing elements that all life needs: iron, phosphorus, something. A very pretty picture of nothing at all.

    1. I’ve traveled extensively around the South and Western Pacific and I can tell you firsthand that the islands/atolls and surrounding reefs are a thriving environments teeming with life. The sand is comprised of eons worth of coral and shell. One of my favs is Aitutaki lagoon. The Giant Clams are amazing.

    2. Uh, I'd still go there. No life means no predators. The ocean looks very inviting.
