Not a bad way to use a small back yard

  1. And it cuts down on the chore of having to mow.

    1. I'd vote to abandon the grass completely and pave the rest.

  2. The way that fence is built seems unusual.

    1. I've seen that style here in Texas. My brother's back yard fence is like that along one side. Not my preference, but apparently some people (or some homebuilders) like it.

    2. I've had that style of fence before. When shared with a neighbor, it means that neither yard gets "all front" or "all back" sections of fencing, and the open areas where it swaps sides provide a minor benefit by allowing wind to pass through with less resistance, making it less likely to be blown down by high winds. It's also easier for animals to get through, which usually isn't a benefit.

    1. You want raccoons in your yard? This is how you get raccoons. And herons and egrets and a hawk every now and then.
