And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
That's most likely a long exposure of the milky way taken with a special filter (hydrogen alpha maybe, which narrows in on red light from emissions from the gas clouds in the milky way). Separate exposure for the foreground. Then recombine the two images. Lots of processing going there. You can't see what this shows with the naked eye. But you can see the milky way from a dark location (away from the city). Just look up and it's hard to miss.
