And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? Prof. Heinkel showing his HE-111 model to son, circa 1941. I wonder if either one of them survived the war.
Dr. Ernst Heinkel (24 January 1888 – 30 January 1958) was a German aircraft designer, manufacturer, Wehrwirtschaftsführer in Nazi Germany, and member of the Nazi Party. His company Heinkel Flugzeugwerke produced the Heinkel He 178, the world's first turbojet-powered aircraft, and the Heinkel He 176, the first rocket aircraft.

ReplyDeleteSmart fellow.
ReplyDeleteThe model looks well detailed. Its like someone sent the Revell 1/32nd kit back in time as a present.
ReplyDeleteAfter WW2, restricted from building aircraft, Heinkel started a motor scooter company.
